Have you been Bonvoyed?

I booked 2 nights at this hotel about 4 months ago. At the time i used 2 of my suite night awards to request an upgrade. Till about a week ago they send me an email suggesting that they are still working on the upgrade and will let me know upto 3 days in advance if i have been upgraded. Today I checked and its saying that "sorry a suite night upgrade cannot be used on this reservation". What kind of bull is this? Why even offer suite night awards if your not going to honor them. Its a joke offering 5 suite night awards to plat elite and higher....next time I will select something different which i can actually use. Thanks for bonvoying me Marriott. Nice way to take care of your platinum elite's.
