In addition to missing out on ambassodor status by a mere 10 nights, i find that the customer focus of these chains has decliend dramatically post merger. At this hotel all i could get was a person who didnt want to talk to me and i kept getting transferred to central reservations and hung up on. cheapening the loyalty programs is why they merged. they own the upper segments of the industry now.
this merger should have been blocked if our government actually cared!!!!
