I have recently started traveling more and more for work. The last 6 months I have stayed in 16 different hotels. I represent a long useful income stream for any brand in my opinion. Marriott was the hotel of choice I will have Platinum Status (once I check out of this hotel), but I should have had it sooner. Each time I call customer care they thump me over the head with the rules. I've never disagreed with the rules, just with what an associate told me in regards to a promotion. No one has apologized or said I am sorry. They just thump their rulebook like robots so I thumped a pooper in the toilet and left it there as a thank you. The hotels I have stayed at have been wonderful, but if this is their version of customer care, count me out.
