Have you been Bonvoyed?

They refused to give me an upgrade as per my Gold status while the hotel is in low occupancy and many rooms were available to book in the Marriott app or on the website. Their service is way lower compared to Hilton who have given me upgrades in my last 3 stays.

I never bother to checked my points balance until I read about all the issues with bonvoy. 3 months after my Bangkok trip and over 1k spent on my 3 might stay, I realized I didnt get ANY points for my stay. I called up bonvoy customer service and it took them 3 HOURS to find my reservation, call a supervisor over, and reallocate the points into my account. For the first 2.5 hours the customer service rep straight out said he could not give me the points like he had no idea how ridiculous he sounded that he cant help me get points on dollars I spent at their hotel. The only upside is the supervisor was more competent but arguing with them for 3 hours to get points I should have automatically received is ridiculous.
